Jeroen van Kleef
Since as long as I can remember, I've had a fascination with computers and how those magical devices work.
So basically I'm now a coding journalist, or a creative coder as I like to call it.
Today, I am working at the Veiligheidsregio Groningen in exactly that job. Writing content and programs to support the disaster response organisation.
In the past I was working as a digital coordinator at my local newspaper: Dagblad van het Noorden.
You'll have to forgive me for being a bit of a social media luddite. I don't have a presence on any of the platforms. Why not? Ethics. Want to get in contact with me? Just mail me.
What I love to do
Mobile (web) Apps
An app is a portal to getting work done, but without the hassle of having to learn complex software. Especially PWA's are especially interesting because of their flexibility and low development costs.
Translating data to actionable and readable intelligence is a particular passion of mine. This intelligence should be readable to technies and non-techies alike.
Website & SEO Optimization
Optimizing a website can bring great benefits to both users and the proprietor. Lower load times and lower server loads translate to lower cost and more visits.
Software and hardware go hand in hand. Smart hardware can complement good software and give it superpowers.
