Since as long as I can remember, I've had a fascination with computers and how those magical devices work.

But when it became time for university, I went with Journalism. But I couldn't leave that fascination quite alone and so I also did a master in Computer-mediated communication.

So basically I'm now a coding journalist or online communication specialist as my current job description states.

Today, I am working at the Veiligheidsregio Groningen in exactly that job. Writing content and programs to support the disaster response organisation.

In the past I was working as a digital coordinator at my local newspaper: Dagblad van het Noorden.

You'll have to forgive me for being a bit of a social media luddite. I don't have a presence on any of the platforms. Why not? I have some ethical and privacy concerns. I'm guessing you know what I mean. Besides it's easy to get in touch with me anyway: Just mail me, my address is right here.
