About

For as long as I can remember, I've had a fascination with computers. I ended up taking them apart in my middle school computer lab and started building my own computers. My first pc I had on my own was an Intel Pentium 100MHZ, which was good enough for me to run Age of Empires 2 on. One of my favorite games.

But when it became time for university, I studied Journalism. But I couldn't leave the computers quite alone and so I also did a masters in Computer-mediated communication.

So basically I'm now a coding journalist. I think.

Currently, I am working at the provincial health authority GGD Groningen, writing software to aid the epidemiology department in their research.

In the past I was working as a digital coordinator at my local newspaper: Dagblad van het Noorden and a digital communications specialist at the governmental disaster management organization Veiligheidsregio Groningen.

You'll have to forgive me for being a bit of a social media luddite. I don't have a presence on any of the platforms. But it's easy to get in touch with me. Just mail me, my address is right here.
