Colleagues Bas van Sluis and Liselotte Schüren made this portrait of the home front of the soldiers of the dutch military. They were on mission in Mali while their families were waite for them at home.

This long read was the second in a string of 4 I made for Dagblad van het Noorden and the Leeuwarder Courant.

As with all of them the development time is about a week and it is made completely in HTML and CSS without the help of a CMS. Obviously we did use a base template to make the development process faster and to focus on telling the story.
