One of the biggest projects I've worked on so far was the corporate website of the Veiligheidsregio Groningen. At the time the Veiligheidsregio had a website that was made by an external company. Because the CMS that was used was rather restrictive, the Veiligheidsregio wanted a Wordpress-based website.

The goal was to create a website that was as light on maintenance as possible without sacrificing the freedom that Wordpress affords. A designer created the design based on a widely used commercial theme. At that point I took over and negotiated contracts with a hoster and made sure that the setup was resilient enough for the expected peaks in traffic the Veiligheidsregio could expect. Then I managed (and executed) the migration to the new site.
